Edel Clancy is Group Director of Corporate Affairs for Musgrave, one of Ireland’s largest companies and one of Europe’s most successful family-owned businesses, with a 146-year heritage in food and brand innovation.   Edel works with the CEO and the Board to execute the business strategy and serve its 14 brands in line with our purpose Growing Good Business.  She leads the Corporate Affairs function in its extensive engagement with business leaders, media, government and policy makers in Ireland, UK and at EU level.

Prior to joining Musgrave, Edel held a variety of senior global roles with Lucent Technologies based in the UK and with Vodafone in Dublin.  Edel spent six years in Brussels working for the European Commission, European Parliament and latterly as a lobbyist in the transport, agriculture and agrochemical industries. 

She is Chair of Retail Ireland within IBEC, a member of the Retail Forum and a member of the Board of Repak which is helping to deliver Ireland’s recycling targets and educate businesses and consumers on reducing and recycling packaging waste.

 A native of Limerick, Edel was educated in Ireland and the United States and holds postgraduate degrees in public policy and European political economy.
